Proving Grounds Community Edition
Project Roadmap

Foundation first. Playable next.

The roadmap starts by making real systems talk to each other, then layering mechanics, maps and community features on top until the project becomes something people can actually play.

Current focus Backend green, UE5 integration contract next, then the first dedicated-server and gameplay handshake.
Phase 0

Foundation

Laravel backend, JWT auth, server registration, match flow, smoke-tested API, and the first UE5 integration path.

Phase 1

Core mechanics

Medical system, suppression, supported fire, spotting, round flow and the first full BDX match loop.

Phase 2

Content and maps

Pipeline, Siege and Hospital, plus proper HUD, menu flow, profiles, public browser and contributor pipeline.

Phase 3

Community beta

Steam presence, moderation tooling, reports, anti-abuse work, closed beta rollout and public release prep.

Immediate engineering goals

  • UE5 login and token storage against live JWT backend
  • Dedicated server boot to `servers/register` handshake
  • Player connect validation via `auth/validate`
  • Greybox BDX flow posting `match/start` and `match/end`

Identity is becoming consistent

The site, backend docs and game-side integration are now converging on the same visual and technical language instead of living as separate ideas.
